Graduation weekend is rarely just two people. Between the Main House and the Cottage, the Wremy sleeps 14 in three king-size beds, three queen-size beds and a queen pull-out sofa, with three full bathrooms so nobody is waiting on a shower before the ceremony.
Families commonly put grandparents in the Cottage, where a king bedroom and a queen bedroom share a bathroom on one level, and give the Main House to everyone else. Please note that both entrances require stairs.
Getting to the ceremony
Fall 2026 commencement for the Starkville campus is Friday, December 11, 2026, in Humphrey Coliseum — less than two miles from the house. The 9:30 a.m. ceremony covers Academic Affairs, Agriculture and Life Sciences, Architecture, Art and Design, Arts and Sciences, Education, and Integrative Studies; the 2:30 p.m. ceremony covers Engineering, Business, Forest Resources, Professional and Continuing Studies, and Veterinary Medicine. Confirm details on the registrar's site. Spring 2027 dates will be added when they're published.
Hosting the celebration meal
Graduation weekend restaurant tables for ten are hard to find. The Main House has a full gas range and oven, a dining room seating six to eight, and a breakfast bar for three; the lower deck adds a dining table for six and a gas-assisted charcoal grill. Many families cook one meal here and go out for the other.

Booking lead time
Starkville's graduation weekends sell out earlier than football weekends because every family is traveling on the same two dates. As soon as the ceremony date is published, send it to us — we hold dates by email before they reach the booking platforms.
Photos, dinner and downtown

- Up to 14 across the full property — five bedrooms and three full bathrooms between the Main House and the Cottage, which suits multigenerational families traveling together.
- How far ahead should we book graduation weekend?
- Graduation weekends in Starkville are among the first dates to fill. Booking six to twelve months out is normal; email us as soon as the date is announced.
- Can we host a graduation lunch or dinner at the house?
- Yes. The dining room seats six to eight, the deck adds a table for six, and the property accommodates gatherings of up to 20 people. Ask us about larger celebrations.
- Is there space for grandparents?
- The Cottage has a main-floor king bedroom and a queen bedroom off a shared bathroom, which most families give to grandparents. Note that stairs are required at the entrances.
